Réjane "Reggie" Magloire is a singer, model, and actress.
Magloire was born in Zaire (which is now known as the Democratic Republic of the Congo) but grew up in New York. She studied Western classical music with heavy emphasis on opera singing. Magloire had early exposure on television in commercials and, more notably, played Samantha, a member of the Short Circus, in the TV series The Electric Company from 1975 to the end of production in 1977. (She replaced Melanie Henderson, who outgrew the show after four seasons.) PBS stations continued airing reruns of The Electric Company (more specifically, Magloire's two seasons on the show) through 1985.
